What are the finest PlayStation 5 games available right now? The number of great titles to play has increased to a beautiful but bountiful repertoire much beyond the first year anniversary of the PlayStation 5's launch in November 2019. Do you know what game to start with? So don't worry, we've got you covered. Here are the top PS5 games you can play right now, in no particular order.

MARVEL’S SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES
Despite being cross-platform, Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales was a best-selling PS5 launch title. This game is still one of the greatest on the PS5, and it's easy to understand why.

Miles Morales is a sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man from 2018. Its eponymous protagonist attempts to develop his own take on the Spider-Man mantle while learning his own unique set of powers along the way. An intriguing set of gameplay changes mixed with its own tighter-yet-touching story. Miles Morales remains a one-of-a-kind experience for both newbies and fans of Insomniac's debut game.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales has a variety of visual options, as well as improved graphics and haptic feedback on the DualSense controller. Initially forced to choose between 60FPS and 4K raytracing, a post-launch patch included a Performance RT option, which aims for 60FPS at 1440p resolution.

RATCHET & CLANK: RIFT APART
Another smash for Insomniac Games. Rift Apart, the successor to 2016's Ratchet and Clank, stands on its own as an incredible blast. You're on a cross-dimensional quest with the series' innocent and loving titular couple to stop an evil robotic monarch - because video games. This third-person platformer is a PS5 exclusive that shows off the console's capabilities.

In addition to being a fun, colorful, and well-written adventure in its own right, the PlayStation 5's high speed SSD feeds quick load times, which kick in during Rift Apart's near-instantaneous changes to other dimensions, adding to the spectacular gameplay available. Following the original game, not much new has been added to Rift Apart's core; it's only focused on and improved on what made it previously amazing.

DEMON’S SOULS
Not for the casual player, but that's part of what makes Blue Point's Demon's Souls one of the finest PlayStation system launch titles in recent memory. Even if you're a seasoned veteran of FromSoftware's Soulsborne games, this brilliantly designed remake built from the ground up provides some of the most intense combat and greatest visuals available. Demon's Souls is a grueling, demanding quest that makes success all the more satisfying.

BUGSNAX
There's a lot more to this adventure game than meets the eye, just like its narrative and the fantastically strange environment Bugsnax is situated in. You're entrusted with discovering the profound mystery of Snaxtooth Island and the circumstances surrounding the little civilization founded by its new residents in a world where you're tasked with catching a buffet's worth of sentient food-based lifeforms.

GHOST OF TSUSHIMA: DIRECTOR’S CUT
Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is a stunning spectacle of a game on PS4, but it's much better on PS5. Better load speeds, 60FPS, and 4K visuals are enhanced by the addition of DualSense functionality. It's never boring to feel that extra pull while pulling your bow.

The Iki Island expansion joins the original campaign, which tells the story of a lone samurai on a revenge mission against Mongol invaders. Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut is one of the most spectacular games to play on PS5. It adds a whole new region to explore, quests to complete, an extended plot, and more opponents to massacre.

DEATHLOOP
Deathloop, one of the final Bethesda exclusives on PlayStation, is a rarity even among the esoteric time loop sub-genre of gaming. Trapped in a Groundhog Day-style live, die, repeat scenario, you play as Colt, an assassin determined to murder eight targets in the hopes of breaking free from his repeated jail.
Deathloop is a thrill trip because of its non-linear narrative and massive array of weapons, gadgets, parkour, stealth techniques, and abilities. Arkane Studios, the developer of Prey and the Dishonored series, has revealed another gem of a single-player game for the PlayStation 5.

ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is still one of the finest games on PS5, despite being accessible on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PS4. Valhalla, although retaining the spirit of earlier Assassin's Creed games, is a further progression of the franchise into a gloriously ambitious RPG that is as large in scale as it is beautiful to look at.

The Assassin's Creed history and mechanics meld together well as Eivor, the Viking raiding chieftain. You are drawn into the franchise-wide struggle between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar order as you create your Viking village in 9th century England. Valhalla gives a profusion of customization settings to make this Viking adventure really your own, with its deadly combat, abundance of storylines, and a richness of an open world to explore.

FINAL FANTASY 7 REMAKE INTERGRADE
Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which is still timed exclusive to the PlayStation environment, is a gorgeous return to a famous gaming tale - one that we still can't believe occurred. Although paying respect to the renowned original game, this part-one remake left its own imprint on the franchise with jaw-dropping visuals, action, and a captivating narrative.

For the PS5, however, Intergrade takes the remake to the next level, with faster loading times, 4K graphics, and a 60FPS option. Moreover, Intergrade includes an additional story section with Yuffie, a longstanding series favorite, as a playable protagonist. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a must-play for PS5 users who are lovers of Final Fantasy and daring story-driven games in general.

MARVEL’S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
One of the year's greatest and finest gaming shocks. Following a period of low expectations, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy shattered them with a single-player tale so popular that it won Best Narrative at the 2021 Game Awards.

You play as Star-Lord, the commander of a newly created band of hired heroes that MCU fans will recognize from the Marvel films of the same name.

Even if you've never heard of Star Lord and his gang of space pirates, you're bound to like Guardians of the Galaxy for a variety of reasons. Together with each individual's heartbreaking themes of loss and triumph over sadness, there's a superbly crafted script packed with humor and character dynamics, making this the best take on the Guardians yet. Additionally, the strategic real-time fighting is a blast with every encounter, aided by a terrific soundtrack.

ELDEN RING
Elden Ring, developed by the same team that brought you Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Twice, is the newest incarnation of a dark fantasy game led by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Elden Ring is the culmination of all of its creators' talents and more, invigorated by deeper and upgraded gameplay mechanics and steeped in a stunning dark fantasy universe created with the assistance of George R. R. Martin.

Although Elden Ring is believed to be easier than previous FromSoftware games, it is meant to knock you down and push you to your limits. Yet, as with those before it, that extra layer of difficulty has not been added for the purpose of being tough. It appears to have been earned.
